bone parts as possible. Through 3D CT scanning, bone thickness and area, location of nerves and blood vessels are precisely measured to grasp patient’s condition. Facial contouring surgery is conducted by experienced surgeons at BeauteMedix in

Cheekbones are an important element that determines the contours of the face. excessively prominent cheekbones make your face look fierce and wide. Cheekbones have three-dimensional structure and every individual has different shapes of frontal cheekbones, 45° cheekbones, and lateral cheekbones. The cheekbones are fractured and pushed back, and the fractured cheekbones circumference is carefully trimmed and rotated to bring a more natural cheekbone reduction effect.

Square jaw refers to square shape appearance when looking from front, and protruding angular jawbone underneath ear because of large size of lower jawbone and its angular shape. Square jaw reduction only cuts the edges of a square jaw(so-called mandibular angles). This operation smoothes and slenderizes the lower jaw shape from the side.

V-line surgery has become the signature procedure of Korean plastic surgery. If you expect satisfactory oval shape face with side and front effect, korean plastic surgeons create a beautiful jawline by combining v-line surgery with long-curve square jaw ostectomy, t-shaped ostectomy, cortex ostectomy. If you have overdeveloped muscles or excessive fat, they need to be removed as well for better effects.

  • Surgery Duration : 1.5 - 2 hours
  • Hospitalization : Not required or 1 day
  • Clinic Visit : 2 - 3 times
  • Anesthesia : General Anesthesia

Long-curve square jaw ostectomy trims the lower jaw in a long curve from the under-ear part to the the tip of the chin. The square jaw from the front turns into a smooth line and makes a smooth chin line from the sides. The surgery can correct even severely asymmetric jaws.

T-shaped Ostectomy is generally applied to those who have a wide square jaw. The front jawbone is cut in a T-shape and tightened inwards. T-shaped Ostectomy that reduces the width of the jaw is effective for creating a slim and beautiful V-shaped jawline.

The bones in the body consists of 3 layers: outer cortical bone, cancellous bone and inner cortical bone. Cortical bones refer to the hardest bone structure, the so-called outer cortical bones. Although the outer cortical bone is only cut about 2mm, it makes a big difference on a full face.

Two Jaw Surgery is performed as both a functional and facial contouring surgery in Korea. For those who need Two Jaw Surgery usually have long face, jutting chin(refer to lantern jaw), and other facial asymmetries, but beside this, there are problems such as abnormal teeth, disability in chewing and taking and jaw bone disability. Two Jaw Surgery moves the jaw bone to its ideal position by changing the position of the jaw bone back and forth or up and down. The proper position of the chin changes the entire facial skeleton, providing improvements in both function and appearance. Two Jaw Surgery can be performed simultaneously with facial bone contouring surgery such as Square Jaw or V-line Surgery. Depending on the patient’s symptoms, Korean plastic surgeon selects either the SSRO (Sagittal Split Ramus Osteotomy) or IVRO (Intraori Vertical Ramus Osteotomy).

  • Surgery Duration : 4 hour
  • Hospitalization : 2 - 3 days
  • Clinic Visit : Depends on the symptoms
  • Anesthesia : General Anesthesia
  • Stitch Removal : 2 weeks after the operation
  • Recommended staying period in Korea : Min. 4 weeks

SSRO is a method that fractures the mandible near the molar, and the bone is fractured in two sections and removed, then reconnected for fixation. It is known for its short recovery period, because the reattachment area has a larger surface area which helps the bones adhere more effectively for faster recovery. Postoperative oral-fixation period is considerably short.

IVRO (Intraoral Vertical Ramus Osteotomy) vertically fractures the posterior section of the mandibular bone. It avoids using plates or wires as a fixator to allow for the jaw to function naturally after the procedure, which is much more convenient for patients during post surgical recovery. The fracture line on the posterior section provides a slimming effect similar to the surgical outcome of facial contour surgeries.
